two 150s, only one tuner showing up??

I don't know if this question goes here or in the sage software part. i have a sempron system with two 150 hauppauge's setup. already had one working fine and loaded the new one the other day. i "think" i have it installed correctly and there are no ! in the system hardware config in windows xp. looks like it got the drivers correctly. i'm not able to pull up the second card in sage, however. i looked in the sage.properties and there doesnt' appear to be an ignore line for the second 150 card.

I'm sure tons of people have done this, but i can't find a topic on this already. could someone tell me what to do next or where to look to fix this?

thanks
orange.

Just to double check, by 'ignore line', you mean you checked the "mmc/ignore_encoders" property in sage.properties?

Another basic thing to check is to make sure no other software is trying to use the card.

yeah, that was the line i was talking about. it did have an ignore line for some sound card, but that was it.

also, i haven't installed the hauppaugge software or any other program that would use it besides sage.

thanks for the quick reply.

I know you don't see any issue in the WinXP harware config but I would suggest reloading the drivers. I had a problem where WinXP didn't see any issues in Hardware config but Sage didn't recognize one of tuners (sounds familiar ). I stopped Sage Service and reloaded the drivers from the CD (from within Hardware Config) and restarted XP and the tuners were recognized.

It is just what I would try next.

Failing that I would consider installing and checking out the tuners in WinTV to see if they both work correctly. I never figured out how to run multiple tuners in WinTV so I can't advise how to do it other than alternately disabling one to check the other.
