Hardware Compatibility List
I looked on the main Sage site for a hardware compatibility list. They said
"Works with most hardware". This is not conducive to me laying out 79.99 even tho I would love to try the linux version. Sage is still saying that the windows version works with Win98SE which it doesnt. If anyone has a list or partial list that would be greatly apprecitated. I have had good luck with other linux installs so Im looking forward to trying it. Thanks Blackwell15 |

I tell you what........ Here's what worked for me:
nVidia GeForce 4 MX4000 AGP Hauppauge PVR-150 Hauppauge PVR-500 Siig Ultra-IDE 133 controller card..... (have 3 hard drives, 1 DVD-ROM, 1 DVD+RW drive, so I needed an extra IDE) ** Serial-ATA --- had to be taken out. Fortunately, I had a SATA -> PIDE adapter from when I had a ReplayTV, so I could hook it into the IDE cable. I couldn't get lilo to boot with the SATA drive connected, this could be a configuration issue on my end, though.... not sure. Motherboard is an ASUS P4P800 SE Pentium 4 @ 2.4GHz (533 FSB) It took a few installs, but it's working flawlessly for me. The video is a bit choppy in Sage for me, but I should have my Media Extender soon. Lauren Last edited by laurenglenn; 01-16-2006 at 10:11 PM. |
