Question about multiple cable boxes and usbuirt.
I currently have one cable box and one non cable tuner and am using a usbuirt to change chanels on the cable box(scientific atlantic ExplorerHD).
My question is I would like to add one more cable box and be able to change chanels on each depending on wich scource is changing to a different chanel. this way scource one could control cable box one, and scource two can control cable box two. The problem is both boxes will be of the same type, and both use the same remote codes. It is possible for me to separate the boxes so they can't get each others remote signals, if I can use multiple transmitters.

You could look into the multizone support that the USB-UIRT should have, unless it is a really old one; see the USB-UIRT links in this index: Information Resources for Remotes, Receivers, and IR Blasters
With zones, you can control up to 3 of the same type of box that uses the same IR codes. If they can use differnet codes, you don't need zones. - Andy
