I am running into the exact same problem with the PVR150 sent to me from Sage. I cannot get sound from two channels. I have been going back and forth on email with Hauppauge support but nothing has fixed the problem yet. The beta driver for me makes all my channels not work as well as the MCE driver that had me try. The only driver that makes most channels work is their final released driver.

If anyone has any other solutions to this problem I'd love to hear them and am willing to try them out.

Wink 32/64-bit drivers for PVR-150/500

I still new here, but over the GBPVR camp, the problem was solved by using 32/64-bit drivers for PVR-150/500 cards which are not on the HAU site.

Anyone have a link to these drivers?

I have not tried them and I would read through the discussion just to be aware of any issues.

I just tried the new drivers from the gbpvr.com site. They didn't help a bit. Just like the previous beta drivers, I lose audio on all channels instead of just 8 or 10 as happens with the release drivers. What's amazing is the number of hours I've wasted trying to get my PVR-150 to work correctly. Never again Hauppauge.

Exclamation

You have to do a couple of things to get them to work. As I had some trouble with them.

1. Run HCWCLEAR
2. Run RegClean (program)
3. Reboot
4. Install each driver manually for each tuner card you have ex: PVR-150

After a couple of recordings and test it worked.

PVR-150 #2
PVR-150 #3

I've recorded three different channels at the same time. You might have to also pull one out and see which one doesn't work if you still have problems.

Rather than waste more hours trying to make a completely clean driver install (ever try to remove all traces of Hauppauge crap from your registry without totally messing up SageTV, etc?) I actually test these new Hauppauge drivers in a clean installation of XP (dual boot). The PVR-150 just doesn't work correctly in my newer NForce4 DFI motherboard (it did seem to work fine in an older NForce2 motherboard). My PVR-USB2 works fine. And as far as I'm concerned any device manufacturer that requires highly convoluted driver installations doesn't deserve my business.

I looked back at most of your history on this and it looks like the statement above could summarize the issue you are having. You probably have come to the same conclusion since nothing you have tried has solved the problem.

I also looked on the web and found some instances where the PVR150 has not worked correctly with the NF4 chipset (but certainly not all of the time since it is a very capable/popular set). I wonder if you have tried an updated bios to see if that could improve/solve the issue?

I don't want you to on this problem any more if you don't want.
It is just another suggestion (that or maybe list the PVR150 on ebay ). Best of Luck!

Thanks Para. That's a good suggestion - I think my next step will involve my motherboard BIOS although I am using the lastest official version already. I wonder if using an AMD dual-core chip might also enter into it?

I have so much electronics stuff I should have used eBay to get of rid of - and didn't, I could probably open up my own store...
