SageTV Media Extender

Hello.

I order this last week and I got the key right away, but all my emails to orders@sagetv.com about when I can expect this are being ignored.

I need to know when I can expect this since I am running out of time with my Trial period Key for SageTV and SageTV manual says that in order for me to extend the SageTV trial period, I have to re-format my hard drive which I wont do.

Any help appreciated.

Only SageTV can answer questions about orders, since no one here has that info (try aother email address on the contacts page), but your issue of the trial nearing its end is separate.

If you are buying SageTV & waiting for the MVP to show up... you will need more than just the extender key, which you said you already have. You will also need to buy SageTV. Without a server, andy client or extender keys won't do you any good. Do you have the SageTV license yet?

Hello.

No, I was waiting to get the SageTV Media Extender (Already have Key) before buying SageTV server. I just wanted to make sure the entire system worked before buying SageTV server. I have SageTV server with the trial license.

How can I tell how many days are left on my SageTV server lincense?

I doubt the emails are being ignored. I've heard others mention problems with that orders email address, so maybe there is something going on with it.

It has been so long since I ran a trial version that I don't remember if it shows the # days remaining when you run the program. However, it is a 15 day trial from when you first installed it, so if you know that date, you will know when it ends.

I am assuming that you really mean the days left for your Media Extender Trial. You can run the SageTV License Registration, it will show how many days are left and number of license(s) that are installed.

If the trial is 15 days then the logic is flawed. I have never used the trial but have seen a message that I had 6 days left and currently says the trial has expired. I ordered the Media Extender on 1/1/06, I received and installed the license the same day. I received the Media Extender hardware on 1/5/06. I have never seen the word trial appear on the screen while watching TV using the Media Extender. However, I believe at one point SageTV left some lck files around that I had to manually delete. I believed at the time that the lck file had tied up my license and I may have been using the trial period.

BTW: you should receive a notice with a tracking number when the hardware is shipped. If you have not received a notice then the hardward is probably on back order.

When I placed the order, I received neither - Just the SageTV Media Extender license.

Just now, today, I finally got an answer - the SageTV Media Extender is on it's way - I just now got a tracking number
