DVD to Mpeg converted video Crashed SageTV / Client v4.1.3

I have been testing the DVD file converted per the this post and it ONLY works on the MediaMVP. It does not work on SageTV Client or the SageTV Server via the Hauppague 350 TV-out. Instead it practically crashed both computers.

I am guessing the problem is the "Aspect Ratio" of the video, it is 16x9.

I just upgraded to SageTV and Client version 4.1.3 to use the MediaMVP.
I have tried different settings of Fill, Source, 16x9 and 4x3. None seem to work. Infact when I try to run it using SageTV Client and Server I get a black screen and the Virutal Memory starts climbing to 2+gig and almost locks-up my PC.

It appears to be a program bug.
If it doesn't want to play the video fine but it should not cause a computer crash. I am reporting this to SageTV as a bug.

Does anyone have any thoughts on why SageTV Client and Service would do this?

Mike

Attached are some pics of the Task Manager and the memory jumping to 1.4gig. Then dropping back to normal after I stop the SagTV process using Task Manager. Clicking on the "X" to close the window does nothing since the computer is now running slow. This is happening on two different computer so I'm thinking it is a STV software issue and not my computers.

Also attached are my debug log files.
Hopefully this information is helpful.

Thanks
Mike

Does it convert to MP3 or MP2 audio?

Yes.. the audio is converted to MP2.
The steps allow the audio to be separated from the video and saved in either AC3 or MP3 format. From there the BeSweet program converst the audio from (AC3 to MP2) or from (MP3 to MP2). I have tried it both ways it makes no difference.

In each test the video plays just fine on the MediaMVP but on a PC running SageTV Client it caused the memory spike / lock-up problem as described above.
