Activation Error
Anyone have problems contacting the activation server to finish installs today? I didn't have any problems last night I don't think but decided to reinstall today and I'm either receiving nothing or sometimes error 400 java.io.IOException: BAD REQUEST
Edit:For those installing, this is the point before setting the mixer levels and root password. Last edited by Panzer; 01-08-2006 at 05:28 PM. |

Unfortunately I'm still receiving the same error when trying to get past activation:
Error 400 java.io.IOException: BAD REQUEST I thought maybe we were running into an odd problem with our firewall and/or proxy but after hauling the server around and testing on a wide open connection I'm not so sure. Last edited by Panzer; 01-09-2006 at 12:37 PM. |

The keys are hardware locked so it's failing the activation because you've previously activated it on different hardware.
This is a feature that will need some tweaking as time goes on based on user feedback. Email support with your info and then we'll make it so you can re-activate again (and let them know why you're using different hardware for feedback purposes).

Thank you.
I must say that before I started making problems for myself I didn't run into anything major. The only change that I had to make was disabling the menu transitions but everything else was groovy. |

I am having the same issue, but have not seen a successful activation yet. It just appears to loop at this point.
Error with license activation: java.io.IOException: Server returned HTTP response code: 400 for URL: http://download.sage.tv:8000/linuxactivation |

Try again, we just fixed the issue.

I have the same Problem, Narflex can you please help.
I had manged to get sage TV working on an IDE 4gig. Obviously to small. Just to test and see if linux app would work with my hardware. Which it all seemed ok. Now I have removed the 4gig IDE and inserted a NEW 200gig ATA drive. Abd installed the Latest ver .6 of Sage. Now it wont seem to activate. Do i need to transfer the small 4 gig over or can you help |

I'm experiencing this issue right now. I'm building a replacement server for my Sage system and during the install process on the new system I'm getting the 400 error. The old sage sytem is still running while I'm installing \ testing \ debugging this new box.
Any ideas?
