VideoReDo Plus

I just discovered that the current VideoReDo version (2-2-1-445) now offers commercial detection capabilities.

Now the one person (me ) who hasn't updated to Sage 4 and/or is running ComSkip can now automagically remove the commercials from my archived shows. Now to test it out to see how accurate the detection is.

I just tested the commercial detection and it took 8 min to pass thru a 1 hour 1 min 3.3GB file, running in the background while surfing the web. Not to shabby compared to the 6 min it took me to manually edit out the commercials myself.
It did miss one 3 min+ commercial segment which I hope I can adjust in the program settings.

Remember, if you get showanalyzer it will make the .vprj file that videoredo reads for commercial breaks. It's all automated. Import this file and your mpeg into Videoredo, click save as and your done.

I never got around to installing comskip or any of the other goodies on my HTPC so I don't have (or need) and automated solution.

Maybe in the future...

Yes. Plus has had it for quite a while. I dont really use it however since I can usually edit it manually on my own quicker than it can stream the file to search (It will probably be much faster now that im running gigabit) I thought it was too sensitive as well.
