About to take the plunge in Zürich, Switzerland
I'm about to download the trial version, with the intention of buying SageTV.
Before I get started, though, I'd like to clear something up: I live in Zürich, Switzerland: will I be able to get the TV stuff to work right? I've been using Dscaler for some time, and the program just plain works - I know absolutely nothing about XMLTV feeds and the tricks it may take to get that working here. I have Cablecom, btw. Any tips before I start my trial? Mike |

Hi
I live in Zurich too and use SageTV since many month and me and my girlfriend we both really wouldn't want to live without it any more. One first hint: I tried many different sources for program listings and would suggest to use TV Movie Clickfinder as source for the XMLTV program listings. It costs about 15 CHF/year, but it offers good information for a period of 14 days in the future. If you have further questions, don't hesitate to PM me (in German ![]() holozaen |

Merci!
I'm just curious - isn't TV Click Movie Finder a GERMAN deal? How does it figure out which channels we have?? Also: are there any freebies out there or is that the only alternative? Peace, Mike P.S. |

TV Movie is in fact a german provider. There is program data for most of the cablecom analog channels, such as SF1, SF2, ORF1, ORF2. You won't get any data for TeleZüri or SFInfo, but that's the same with any other program provider out there (I must confess that I didn't really check out the new tvtv-EPG-Data, but I read in the forums that there are some stability issues). For me it works perfectly for over a year now.
You can select the channels you need out of the in the clickfinder application.* good luck holozaen btw. we could move the discussion to the german speaking forum http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=22 *Clickfinder-premium-Channels:ARD, ZDF, RTL, SAT1, PRO7, RTL II, kabel eins, VOX, S RTL, 3SAT, WDR, NDR, RBB, MDR, H3, SWR, B3, Ki.Ka, Arte, B.TV, 9Live, DSF, Euronews, Eurosport, NTV, N24, Phoenix, CNN, NBC, VIVA, VIVAPlus, MTV, MTV2, Tele5, HH1, TV München, TV NRW, TV Berlin, FAB, XXP, Home Shopping Europe, QVC, ORF 1, ORF 2, SF 1, SF 2, Kanal D, TRT, DK1, DK2, NL1, NL2, NL3, TV5, BR Alpha, EinsFestival, EinsMuXx, EinsExtra, ZDFdoku, ZDF Theaterkanal, Premiere Start, Premiere 1, Premiere 2, Premiere 3, Premiere 4, Premiere 5, Premiere 6, Premiere 7, Premiere Nostalgie, Premiere Serie, Premiere Krimi, Premiere Austria, Discovery Channel, Disney Channel, Junior, Fox Kids, Planet, SCI FI, MGM, 13th Street, Classica, Goldstar TV, Heimatkanal, Beate-Uhse-TV, Premiere Sport 1, Premiere Sport 2, Animal Planet, Hit24, ATV+, Terra Nova, ZDFInfo, Spi.Ka TV, Discovery Geschichte |
