Problem with Sage's Picture module

Opus4,

I've got 4.1 installed and I'm having a heck of a time viewing pictures. I have over 3500 pics, some of which are huge JPEGs, around 9MByte or so. Sage gets totally stuck on these pictures...it can't create the thumbnails.

Why is it that the XP OS has no problem creating the thumbnails quickly? Can this shortcoming with Sage please be addressed? Sage is useless for picture viewing right now...to me

I've found c# libraries on the web that allow access to thums.db within Windows. Why not take advantage of this file?
