PVR-500...add a PVR-250?

I have a P4 2.8ghz, 2gigs ddr400, 300gig hdd with a pvr-500mce running XP SP2. Do you think i can sucessfully add a pvr-250 for using a remote with? Would that work? Thanks!

Sure, I'm running a 250 and a 500. Though I'd probably go with a 500 (extra tuner) or 150 (cheaper) vs the 250 these days.

But doesn't the 150/500 not have a ir input?

The 150 (non-MCE version) does. Of course another option is something like the Streamzap or USB-UIRT if all you want is a remote.

The USB-UIRT is so perfect, you just get to input the commands directly to sage, it is so simple. And as for a remote you can use basically anyone you want if you have a UIRT. I have a Harmony Remote mapped to the Hauppauge silver remote commands that works great. The flip side of that is that you could get one of the other cards that has the remote and use the hauppauge remote.
