Getting "No Data" on about 40% of my channels?
I'm not sure what's going on - are the EPG people on vacation?
I have tried the trick to toggle a station on and off, and force an update - but most of the channels are still no data. The internet connection is fine. Any other suggestions? |

You need to re-download the EPG. If your internet connection was interrupted during download, you'll only get what was downloaded.

Thanks Gerry - waiting finally did the trick, but in the past the guide would update pretty quick - in about 4-7 minutes - this time it took overnight.
Thanks again Steve |

i have no data for any channels and have been waiting for days now. i think this may actually be a firewall issue. does anyone know what port the EPG uses to fetch information? i was thinking it just uses port 80, but since it's not working . . . .

I was having this same problem as well as having no sound on any channels. After a little investigation it turns out that I had a bad capture card (WinTV-PVR-150).
Replaced the capture card and now I no longer have any issues with the guide updating. Hopefully, this may help someone out with their problem. |

Hi,
How did you determine the card was bad? Would trying to tune live tv do this for you? TIA Jesse |

Could it still take a few hours to update even though Sys Info shows the update has been done? What now? Any ideas are appreciated. TIA Jesse Last edited by Jesse; 01-14-2006 at 06:38 AM. |

I've got the same problem also.
I found if I turn off one of the channels that has 'no data' and then turn it back on (inside of channel setup), the program guide seems to update for that one channel pretty quick. Is there any way to FORCE an update of all the channels from zap2it? thanks, rwc |

Fixed:
Disabled all channels and both tuners. Set tuners back up and ran through the channel setup again. No more missing data. Jesse |
