Problem with wma playback on client
Well, I solved most of my problems importing wma files into the music library -- some files still won't import, but that's not my major issue right now. After editing the Properties file, wma files import and play on my Sage server. But when I try to play them on my client, I get an error: Sage.PlaybackException -- Sage was unable to render the video portion of the content for playback. My mp3's play fine on the client.
Any suggestions? |

How did you get the wma files to import. I can not seem to figur it out.

look for this line in sage.properties : seeker/music_library_import_filename_extensions=.mp3,.wav,.wma
With Sage (and Sage service if used) shut down, you can update that line to include the .wma if it is not in your sage.properties file. Sage should then be able to see .wma's in your import directories. while you are in there, check out this line as well: seeker/video_library_import_filename_extensions=.mpg,.mpeg,.mp2,.mpeg2,.mpe,.avi,.divx,.mpg1,.ts,.wmv,.asf,.wm,.tivo,.m2t,.vob If you have had the same sage.properties file for a long time, before additional file formats were added, you might be missing some. When I updated sage to a new build, it would not automatically insert the new file types. I either had to manually add them, or, delete the entire line and sage would rebuild it upon startup. |
