No Sound on Certain Channels
I bought the MVP on Friday, received it on Tuesday, had it working 5 minutes after taking it out of the box. Being that this is the first MVP that I have owned I feel this is remarkable.
The only issue I have is that there is no sound on certain channels. Three channels to be exact. Using the "old" television tuner the sound is present. I also have two Sage clients and the sound works on them also. If I record the show and watch it later on the MVP, the sound is present. Its just when I try to watch these channels "live" is when I have the problem. Everything has been restarted multiple times to no avail. I have checked and double checked the connection and it is running at full duplex. Thanks, Barry |

Yep, I checked that. My "better half" reminded me that that is something that I would do.
Whats weird is that I can start at Channel 1 and surf all the way to the end and its only these channels. A couple of other channels will not have sound initially but if I leave it on that channel for about 10 minutes the sound will come on. I have been combing thru the files on the the Sage server looking for some kind of buffer setting but I don't see anything that would make a difference. Thanks, Barry |
