Can I fake QAM support this way by importing into Sage?

Can I fake QAM support this way by importing into Sage?

I don't think OTA is going to work, I get about 6 digital channels and 1-2 HD channels, not what I expected. I have Comcast and was thinking about QAM. Can I have my FusionHVTV 5 Lite record HD shows and then view them in Sage via the import media option? I'm not sure what format the fusion software uses though and if Sage can import it.
