motorola cable box "carrier detect changed state" problem

Hi everyone, my sage is almost perfect, just one "major" problem.

I use the serial cable channel tuner on my motorola, it works great except when it is first started, or restarted by a comcast update.

When the cable box is turned off and on, a pop up comes up on my computer screen that says "carrier detect changed state"

If I click "ok" then it continues to work without error.

If not, every time a channel is supposed to change, another pop up pops up.

Barring a change in the plug in that stops the pop up, What I need is a utility that detects the pop up and clicks enter automatically.

The concept is simple and I have seen utilities like these years ago, but can not find anything now.

Anyone know of a pop up auto responder?

Thanks!

edit windows to not allow pop ups?

Thought of another solution.. Is there a way to not allow those messages to pop up? Is it a part of messenger or?

I have tweakui and have disabled most pop ups, but not these... These are in a rectangular box, text over the "ok" button, in standard windows colors.

any help is appreciated...

research

Further research...

I noticed this problem elsewhere in the forums, but could not find a solution...

Here is a page from microsoft enumerating the messages:
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/lib...pinchange.aspx

The messages are due to messages referring to the state of the serial port. How can we either stop these messages from popping up? or auto respond with an enter?

Here is another link talking about this issue.. I can not make heads or tails of it... but others may beable to decipher.

http://72.14.203.104/search?q=cache:...state%22&hl=en

I ended the report errors service, that didnt help...

Any ideas?
