ATI new Driver may add some nice video performance

My question though is does only their 1800 lineup benefit from this. It also appears to offer a free codec for DVD playback, will this be available to ALL ATI cards or just the newer models?

Well might have to finally move my 1800 to my sage box now. I've been gaming with it, but might be worth the effort if all this is true!!
 I doubt anything other than the 1X00 (AVIVO cards) will really be able to apply the new drivers to full potential. This is the kinda information the "marketing" guys were spewing out at the release. Maybe its finally coming to pass.
