Any other hardware decorder cards?

Are there any other hardware decoder cards out there besides the PVR350 and Xcard?

I have a PVR350 and I love it on my 29" television but it looks horrible on my HDTV Front Projector. I've tried using my Nvidia 5200 outputting on the projector and its looks better than the 350 however I can't stand the "fast motion choppiness" that has occured since Sage 2 with a software decoder card.

I have a HDTV source pipped directly into my projector and it looks great! I'm looking for something that will "upscale" standard TV through the PVR and out the to projector that will make it look decent.

Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

Geforce 7800 GTX

Seriously, there isn't anything really. About the only upconverting HW decoder out there is the MyHD, of which I have, and my Geforce 6800 blows it away IMO .

Well I'm going to take your word for it and "buy/try" a 6800. I just have a few questions for you?

1) What brand did you get?

2) Is yours a 128MB or 256?

3) What Software Encoder are you using?

4) Are you using the TV out or using DVI?

I have a passive-cooled Gigabyte.

2) Is yours a 128MB or 256?

I think it's a 256, but don't quote me, I got it because it was a passive 6800

No software encoders, I've got a PVR 250, PVR 500, and (occasionally) an Avermedia A180 doing the recording.

For decoding, I'm using the latest-greatest nVidia decoders.

4) Are you using the TV out or using DVI?

TV out? Heck no!!! DVI->HDMI input on my TDP-MT700

You should try enabling Fullscreen Exclusive mode if you're having smoothness troubles.
