No UHF channels? Manual padding?

#1. I can't watch my UHF channels. Just a blank staticy screen for all UHF. The channels I want show up in the channel scan (and are green), and the guide, but no go. VHF is fine however.

I chose Analog in the Setup.
Hauppauge 350
SageTV 4

#2. Is there a way to add padding to an individual, Manually, recorded show? I know that you can in Favorites, and after a show is recorded Manually. But what about a one shot deal, like a special show?

Thanks to whoever.

I was going to say I don't have any idea about this one & perhaps I still don't have any idea, but... did you choose Cable or Local Broadcast when configuring the source? It sounds like you are using an antenna. Go to Setup -> Setup Video Sources -> and choose your source to get to the Source Details screen. For the Cable/Antenna, which does it say?

When you click on a show, you get a pop-up w/a "Record Options" button. Select that button. If the show is already a Manual Recording, you will see an option to "Adjust Recording Options". Select that one & set the padding times. See the section starting on p. 102 in the v4 PDF manual that is in your SageTV directory.

Thanks for the reply Opus4.

1. Yeah. There's Cable/Antenna and Local Broadcast for choices. I chose antenna as I'm only using my roof antenna. That was right....right?

2. Yes. I found the padding info later on. Didn't realize that clicking on a manual recording twice brought up a more choices. This was not very clear in the manual.....until I figured it out. Heh

Thanks.

Phew!

I kicked out the bug.

After trying everything else, I finally removed the 350 from the configuration, X'd out of Sage....restarted, re-ran the channels and voilą! All channels are fine now. Go figure.
