DirecTV HD, 169time.com or R5000 HD, and SageTV

Been reading all the threads here regarding using FW with Sage, and it looks like the only way to make a homebrew DVR with a DirecTV HD receiver.

Is there some definitive how-to for this? I read the LONG thread regarding cable boxes, and it's full of good info, but is there some similar resource for modded DirecTV HD boxes?
