My learnings with d10 (read if u own -300)
I've been reading for months trying to see if the d10-300 has serial support. According to dtvcontrol.com it does not. I've read all over the net trying to verify and have only been able to find one post of a guy that stated a firmware update "enabled" the serial port. Well i broke my sagetv server down and took it to my parents to hook to their -300 and it worked fine. The serial port is hidden by black tape so dont be fooled. I used dtvcontrol.com's pin guide and it worked just fine. So i hope this helps anyone looking to get a receiver and not sure which model they're receiving. To recap: the -300 DOES WORK WITH SERIAL Control.
also i've seen several questions regarding what the differences are, here they are:
all menus are the same the only difference is the appearance and the manufacturer here is the list:
D10-100 = RCA
D10-200 = Samsung
D10-300 = Philips
