Client Server Question
Hello - suppose I have a server with say 2 tuner cards in it. Next, suppose I have say 4 clients. Clearly they cannot all watch TV at the same time. But, will the Sage automatically assign a client to an available tuner on the server and then if that client is no longer in use (the computer is turned off) then that tuner will automatically be assigned to the next client that signs on the server? In other words, when a client exits the Sage program is that tuner free for the next available client?
Thanks, Mike |

The tuners are not actually assigned to an open client. The only time a tuner is "In Use" is when you are actually using it by watching LiveTV or recording somthing via a favorite or manual recording.
If you have 4 clients and they are all running at the same time and they are all watching pre-recorded shows, then none of the 4 clients are using any of the tuners. If you are recording a favorite "and" watching LiveTV on one of the clients then both tuners will be unavailable.
