SageTV 4 and EXETunerPlugin

Is there some sort of compatibility issue with SageTV4 and EXETunerPlugin, because it dosn't seem to be working for me. I did setup girder to change channels perfectly on my set top box, but when I change channels in sageTV, it changes the tuner, but not girder, making me belive that EXETunerPlugin is not working.

It seems that it works, I skiped the sageSetExternalChannel.gml part ... but I can't find the gml anywhere. Does somebody still have it? I need it as a reference.

Ok .... I got the sageSetExternalChannel.gml file, and tried manually to enable it, and it works (through direct command promt). But SageTV dosn't execute the event.

I noticed SageTV 4 has a folder called EXE Tuner Plugin, but I noticed it's empty, could someone explain me what this folder is for ?

Ok, considering I've been a PC/Network tech for 16 years I feel very stupid asking where the heck I set that as I see no option under the SageTV service in service management.

Ok, the option is only selectable if running as local account, however, I have network drives my service needs to see, which means it has to run as a specified account, anyone know how to change this for a user other then local system?

You can't nor should you have to. The user you have logging in for the Sage service should have a password and also be in the Administrator group. A user can always interact with the desktop.

Thats what I thought...but for some reason sage is not changing the channels with the exetuner plugin. However, I go into the Sage folder and run DCT.exe I can change channels with it all day long.

Ok, I'm an idiot and forgot to import the reg file when I rebuilt the box the other day, so that partially fixed the problem. Searching for resolution to final issue and will post in the original plugin thread if I cant figure it out.

I am a newbie, I won't hide that... I have Sage running except for the control of the cable box. I am also trying to setup the EXETunerPlugin for my comcast DCT2000 series motorola box, every time I choose the EXETunerPlugin.exe from the setup, SageTV just turns off (crashes). Is this because I like the above post suggests do not have the SageTv running in service mode? Or something else?

I downloaded what appears to be the newest EXETunerPlugin from sourceforge website but no go. Looks like you are trying to use girder to do this, I am not not but if you or anyone can help I would appreciate it, the thread that the EXETunerPlugin is in is somewhat old, over 1 year...it appears V4 of Sage might have a compatibility issue or a difference causing this conflict. Thanks again in advance.
