recording schedule problem
I have a favorite set to just record first runs, no auto delete.Today at 3:30 pm there is a new first run for this show, but it doesn't show up in my recording schedule. The display filter in the recording schedule is set at "all". How come I can't get this to show up? I have restarted Sage but still no good.
Thanks |

I read that link and checked the program to see if it is outlined white and I set it as top priority. All my other favorites don't even show any shows in the scheduled recordings area. |

Recording schedule goes blank
Hi, I found this morning that I had no scheduled shows (although I have 80+ favorites). I have been running sage about a year. I made some changes to my system in the last two days, I am not sure which caused the problem. I will outline the changes and symptoms below, and the things I did trying to fix it. Ultimately I have been able to restore service and I am not sure which fixed the problem.
SYSTEM: sagetv 4.x, one hauppauge 150PVR, one ATI ehome wonder on a windows XP pro system, one internal HD single partition, one new external drive (see below). Changes: I had an extra 120GB drive that I put into a USB case and attached for sage to record onto. It is NTFS, 64k bock size. Sage is set to use 100%. Windows set it as the e: drive, I added it successfully and sage started to record onto the drive. Since I had this new space available I raised the space to keep free on the system drive to 40gb. mistake one - I didn't first make sure that much space was already free. I rebooted the system, and when it came up the external drive wasn't attached by windows. Sage seemed to handle this ok. I removed and reconnected the enclosure, restarted the sagetvservice, and all the shows on the drive re-appeared. everything still seemed fine. Around this time I added a few new favorites: all "MOVIES" by category, all "DOCUMENTARIES", both set to limit 10 shows. Also I re-enabled intellegent recording, I turn this on occasionally to find new shows. My scheduling_lookahead is set to 14 days. I wanted to watch a show live, since sage was recording two shows already it asked if it was ok to stop recording a john wayne movie. I clicked ok and watched the live show. Later I noticed I had a show with no name, zero minutes, basicly a blank entry in the recorded shows list. I deleted it. I don't recall anything else interesting pre-problem. PROBLEM: Today I noticed there didnt seem to be any new shows recorded. I went to status, both tuners idle. I went to view upcoming schedule, it said no shows were scheduled. I verified the filter was set to all. I went to a favorite and verified additional airings showed a program later today. I tried changing a favorite to see if it would re-calculate the upcoming shows - no change. I added a manual recording - no change. I noticed the sagetvservice process was running at 100%. I restarted that process (had to kill it manually). I restarted it and tried a few things again, no change. sageservice still at 100%. Based on a suggestion from the forums I removed and re-added the tuners. Now I see 5 programs (nothing else) from my favorites listed in the upcoming recordings list as manual recordings. I removed manual status and they disappeared. I changed the keep free space on the c: drive to 20GB, removed the favorite for "MOVIES" and did a hard boot. This time windows picked up the e: drive on restart. I went into sage and it began rebuilding the recording schedule. I am not sure what happened, or what fixed it, but there is definately a bug here. I wish I were more sure how I tripped it, or how it was resolved.
