Can't get my media remote to work

I have been using a media remote for a long time. I actually switched to the logitech one to make it easyer on me. Over the years I got tired of MC and wanted to try som ething els. I started using sagetv and liked it allot. I decided to reformat my media pc to just xp because I had a registerd version of it and wanted all the latest updates. here is where my problem is. Now that I am not using media center anymore the remote will not run anymore. It worked right of when I switched from MC to sage but after the format and new OS now i'm stuck. It also will not let me use the media remote drivers for obvios resons.

Suprised I am the only one trying to use a logitech remote on a none MC pc with sage

I need help figuring out how to get the remote to recognize sage. I am runing xp. It's a harmony remote

But a harmony remote needs to be learned to be a remote. My Harmony is configured to be a MCE Remote and works out of the box with Sage. The key is what remote receiver are you using? The Harmony doesn't come with one.

Yeah I thought about this and realized because i'm not using MC anymore it will not work on just XP OS. It will not let me install the drivers for it. The sensor I got is the one for the MC remote and when I had 2005 insatlled it worked great so unless someone else says it should still work then I am getting a usb-uirt sensor and that should work,.
