how many versions can i download (registered buyer)

If i purchase the version 4.0 and i see it has bugs. With my password i could download every 4.x versions? or only 4.0?

So far, SageTV has offered free upgrades for every version (at least since version 2). They do state that they reserve the right to charge at some point, but they have not as of yet.

So, as near as I can tell, you can download any new versions, not just 4.0.

I cannot conceive of them ever charging for a point release.

explain to apple. 10.1 10.2 10.3 10.4 are point releases (are similar) but more than 1xx € each heheheh

I've never understood Apple's strategies in the PC market. I'm not even sure that they do.

I bought V1.4 and I'm now with v4 without any cent more ;-)

Ah, but they're the small David fighting against the big, bad Goliath, so you WANT to pay, don't you? Never mind their 75 percent share of the music player market and their 65 percent share of the music download market...

I disagree. I think they are labelled as point releases, but in fact are actually OS upgrade (Think Windows 95->98 which you also had to pay for). Apple screwed up in that they are using 10 as a marketing device. You do not have to pay for 10.1.1, 10.1.2, etc. Those are the real point releases. Before OS 10 you didn't have to pay for point releases. (ie 9.1, .2 etc)

10.4 looks like Service Pack as SP2 for XP....

is XP SP2 a new Windows OS?... no, is a Service Pack with a few new features.... as 10.4.


So talking about versions.... when we'll download sageTV 4.1? somebody's talking about TVTV problem resolved.... YESSªªª!!!
