100% CPU Usage Update

I have noticed that any time I use windows explorer I get 100% CPU usage from Sage afterwards. This happens even if I close Sage down before opening a file window. The only way to recover is to reboot. Luckily I don't do a lot of file work but this is a strange issue. I seem to remember seeing something about this in an earlier post but can't find it. (Using Windows XP Pro)

My system will run fine for days
and uses between 10% - 15% CPU for playback until I do any kind of file work, then 100% CPU every time. It has been the same on every version including the latest RC.

Anyone else found this ???

Thats not good. Im planning on using Main Lobby 2, DVD Lobby 2, Web Lobby and Theatre Tek. Software compadibility is a must!
If someeon browses the web I wonder if this happens too.

trevor, is Sage the application that's using all of your CPU or is it something else?

Sorry for the delay in the reply, I have been on vacation fro a month.
It is Sage that uses the 100% CPU. I can run any other program without a problem.

Are you using multiple tuners and scheduling a lot of manual records?

I get it also I have WinXP Pro all MS Patches Java 1.4.2 (latest) Sage TV 1.4.10
I have turned off itelligent recording since even when I say I dont like something it still records it and does 100% cpu usage after using file explorer for anything. I know dont get it as much since I have turned it off, but did like the funtion since it found some shows I like to watch occasionally and forgot about.

Sage support any update on this issue. I still get 100%CPU usage with the latest release after I do any kind of file access on WinXP Pro, SP1. This will happen even if I do a file access over the network to move a video for writing to DVD.

Bottom line is if I access any file outside of Sage I have to reboot. If I don't do any file access Sage will run for days without problems.

Is your Windows XP machine on a network with other non-Windows XP clients? If so try disabling the Webclient service on the Windows XP machine. This service is enabled and autostart by default. For me it caused slow network access for my XP machine, because I had Windows 2000 machines in the same domain. Disabling the service took care of my problem.

Just a thought.
