ASUS 6600 (non GT) Video Card
Hi Everyone,
I'd like to upgrade my FX5200 to the ASUS 6600 non gt card. I bought the Gigabyte 6600 fanless card but the heatsink in the back hits my PVR-250 card - so its impossible to install in the shuttle box I got. I'd like to upgrade to the 6600 card for the HDTV support. Is this a good card to use? I hear that tweaking the fan speed with rivatuner, or some other products will keep the system quiet? Is this one of the louder non gt 6600 cards? If you have this card please give me some feedback! /Tal

NV6600 + HDTV outputs
If I order a card that doesn't come with the HDTV component outputs, is it possible to use another breakout box to hook it up to the HDTV set?
Why do some cards not claim to be able to do HDTV output? Can I acheive HDTV resolutions with DVI, or is it "easier" through a breakout box to component output? Would power strip still be needed if I use a breakout box? Thanks for the time and patience!

Quote:
2. Either DVI or component, you're going to set the resolution through the driver. 3. No need for Powerstrip in most instances. The newer drivers support all of the HDTV resolutions. Gerry
