PVR-USB2 Audio Volume woes...

I'm just in the process of building a new system with two PVR-USB2's, but I have a problem with the audio being way too loud in the recordings. I'm running the latest beta driver from Hauppauge's site (although I got it from SHS's distro), and I've tried adjusting the PreScale_Scart_EXT as mentioned on the newsgroup before, but nothing I set it to seems to have any effect (I reboot between changes, and have tried values from 0x0400 to 0x2000 without any noticable change). I did have to create that entry into registry, but I think that's just because I didn't run their WinTV app (which I think normally creates them). I'm at a loss, and the audio sounds really bad - the source shouldn't be the issue either (they're both DirecTV D10's, which seem to only output line level anyway). Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Have you tried it with the non-beta driver or the version of the driver mentioned in the original thread?
