Channels with same title but different source -- missing one

I've got two tuners in my Sage server. One (PVR250) lists WRAZ (Fox) as channel 8 -- this is the correct channel for analog cable. The other (OTA HD card) lists WRAZ as channel 50 -- this is the correct channel for OTA HD. After adding the second tuner, channel 8 dissappeared from the EPG. I assume Sage is being smart and trying to not duplicate channels? The problem is that OTA HD for Fox is spotty for me. I want to record the same show on bot HD and cable just in case the HD feed isnt working. Thus, I need to be able to schedule the recording on channel 8 and channel 50. I dont have this issue with any of my other HD feed b/c Sage names them WRAL (analog) vs. WRALDT (HD), etc. Fox is the only one that has the same name for both cable and OTA HD.

For an explanation of how multiple sources w/multiple channel lineups affect the guide listings, please see the note for the Program Guide starting at the bottom of p. 41 in the v4 PDF manual, found in your SageTV directory.

So... from that note, is it then not possible to force Sage to list dup channels twice? How does it decide which tuner to use? How do I force both tuners to record the same show at the same time?

Sorry, I read too fast & missed the part about the duplicate being HD. You might have a tough time recording both anyway, because SageTV records based on the show, not the tuner... although I've never tried setting up 2 favorites for the same show w/each fav limited to a different channel.

Two Timed Rrecordings might do it.

I don't think you could add WRAZDT in Chanel Setup, since its station ID is already associated with a channel in use.

You could try contacting SageTV to mention that some HD channel is not named properly -- see this FAQ for contact info regarding EPG issues.
