Diamond PVR600 - What qualities does this thing support?

Hi,

I've finally decided that its just not possible to make my three Hauppauge tuners live together nicely 100% of the time -- it just won't happen. They mostly work, but mostly isn't close enough to always to suit me.

SO -- I went and got a Diamond PVR600 USB thinking that I could at least insulate myself from the problem (and also thinking that moving to external usb 2.0 tuners might save me some hassle and free up some precious slots in my system).

It seems like a nice enough device, but the recording quality isn't spectacular. Does anyone have an idea what recording qualities this thing supports? I can't seem to find any information anywhere. It does 720x480, apparently, but thats about all I can find. Nothing about bit-rates at all.

It's not spectacularly bad, mind you -- but its not spectacularly good either.
