issues with Asus motherboards?
Help!

I have an Asus motherboard, specifically the P4V8X-X.

I just purchased a Hauppauge PVR500 and am trying to install, and I can't get past the boot screen. The Hauppauge website suggests a few things. I have tried to reset the Latency timer to no avail, and I have no idea what it means when they say to "Set the Primary program to Dib Draw mode".

Has anyone else run into this, and been able to find a work around?

I'm not sure about Asus boards in particular, but there are known issues with VIA chipsets and the PVR500, is that what your board has?

prognosis isn't good then...google your problem, there's TONS of people complaining about it, no known guarenteed fixes....
