Case Sensitivity in EPG Listings - V4

This is what I've found out on my system.

"Search -> Search All Fields" is case insensitive.
"Search -> Search By Title" results in two items, "The Inside" and "The inside"
"Additional Airings" from the "Favorite Details" screen is case insensitive. It returns 13 shows of "The I/inside"

Only "Additional Airings" from "Detailed Information" seems to be case sensitive. "Additional Airings" for "The inside" returns 9 shows, and for "The Inside" 4 shows.

But, what results do you get when you select those 2 entries?

Do you mean the option in the pop-up video options menu? That should be using the same method as above, so it should be giving the same results.

Yes, the popup option menu.

And yes, I get the same result. Sorry for the confusion. Search by title for "the inside" gives two entries: "The inside", which when I click on that lists 9 shows, and the "The Inside" which lists 4 shows, just as for additional airings in popup menu. So the search itself in "Search By Title" is case insensitive since it finds both versions, but the result is case sensitive since it gives two result entries.

I also noticed that in "Sage TV recordings" menu, "The Inside" and "The inside" are not grouped together. But they are recorded from the same favorite off course.

OK, I know more about this now & there may be something that can be done in the default STV to make those searches case insensitive. No promises at this point, but it might be changed for v5.1.
