I am transitioning from a dedicated HTPC to a server MVP combination. I have had Sage since 10/03. I figured now would be a good time to start "Fresh" and install Version 4 and not copy my old settings files. The only thing I would like to copy over to my new computer is the favorites portion of my settings. Is there some way to do this? Is there a section of a file I can copy and paste into the new wiz.bin or whatever?

Thanks!

You can't take just a section of wiz.bin, so just copy that whole file.

I think LaurenGlenn's custom STV was able to save the favorite list to the registry & then restore it, so I suppose that is one thing to look into if you really don't want your viewing history from wiz.bin.

Thanks OPUS4. Is viewing history and favorites the only thing stored in the wiz.bin? I have used so many versions of Sage and different STV's I just wanted to keep things clean and trouble free. If favorites and viewing history are the only thing located in this file I will gladly keep it.

wiz.bin is for all the database stuff. The properties files have all the configuration settings -- so for a new setup, the properties files are what you want to start over with.
