How can I make MarkerHDTVDot & MarkerFirstRunDot to appear larger in LiveTV Guide?

Currently, MarkerHDTVDot & MarkerFirstRunDot png's are microscopically small on my TV Guide grid. How can I fix this? Changing the dimensions of the actual png files do NOT have any affect.

Program Guide Display Options:

Num of Rows: 9
Num of Col: 3
Col duration: 30 minutes
Font size: 8
Display channel num and name on: 2 lines

PS: When SageTV is in a 16x9 window, the size of the pngs in question are much bigger than full screen mode (in respect to the rest of the ui).

How can I fix this so it looks correct in full screen and in window mode without affecting anything else being displayed?

You'll have to open up the properties for the Panel holding that Image (HDTVShowMarker) and change the Fixed Width and Fixed Height. They're currently defined as a fixed number of pixels (number >1), you could change them to a relative size...

Try this...
Delete the horizontal size, set the vertical size to something like 0.25. The image Widget is already set to "Resize to Fit" and "Preserve aspect ratio" so the end result should be a dot that's 1/4 the height of the EPG cell.

-edit

Actually swap that, delete the fixed height and set the fixed width to 0.1.

Huh? What "Panel"? Is this a Studio thing? I haven't actually tried studio, if so.

Is this an easy thing to do for a total newbie in studio? Maybe if I have a couple of pointers on how to get started would help me quite a bit...

Thanks!

Ah, yes, We've sort of been freed, so I no longer automatically jump to "No can't be done without studio" answer.

Oh yeah, that ones really easy. Just fire up studio (Ctrl+Shift+F12). The search (Ctrl+F) for MarkerHDTVDot, and scroll till you find it. It should be an "Image Widget".

Now for this particular image, it's set to fill the panel it's in. So right above it in the tree there's a panel widget (named above) go to the properties (Right click or Ctrl+L) and you'll see a buch of options. The ones you're interested in are "Fixed Height" and "Fixed Width".

You'll see that right now they are set to 10, which means 10 pixels. What you'll want to do (one option at least) is change it to a relative size (relative sizes are 0-1, fixed pixel sizes are 2+). Try deleting the fixed height, and setting the fixed width to 0.1. Oh, and you'll probably want to set the Anchor X to 0.0.

If you go into the guide, you can play with the settings in there and see what they do in realtime.

Thanks for taking the time to help me. I've tried change those values, but instead of the icon showing larger, it's even smaller now! So small that all I see is a tiny spec or nothing at all. I changed the values you asked me to exactly the way you instructed.

I even took off the automatic resize option and set a very large fixed size... that didnt do anything different. What am I missing? Any chance you could try and see what works for sure? Thanks a million!

OK, so you found the Image Widget, called HDTVDot? With a parent pannel called HDTVShowMarker?

I played a bit more, and try this, Delete all the entries from the image widget HDTVDot, leave resize and preserve aspect ratio checked.

In the HDTVShowMarker, change it to:
Anchor X = 0.0
Anchor Y = 0.3
Fixed Width = (nothing)
Fixed Height = 0.4 (play with this)
Anchor Point X = (nothing)
Anchor Point Y = 0.5

Rest should be blank.

Oh, it should all be in the LiveTVGuide w/ Optional Preview menu
