SageTV4 & Fusion 3 Gold?
I have a Fusion 3 Gold; wondering if anyone out there has tried V4 with one of those.
If you have, I'd appreciate any tips on what you had to do, or wave me away from going down a rathole if it isn't going to work. thx. |

Sage4 treats my Fusion 3 Gold as an NTSC tuner
V4 recognized my Fusion 3 Gold. It looks like it's treating it as an NTSC tuner, and only provides me with SD OTA EPG info. If I add the channel manually, no EPG data comes, and I can't even manually tune that channel.
Where did I screw up? How am I supposed to get ATSC tuned? |

During setup, you picked Fusion WDM video capture (or something like that)? What selections did you make after that?

Ok, i'm an idiot.
I was retracing my steps to answer your question, just noticed the "Digital TV Tuner" option. My eyes normally start in the middle, saw the TV Tuner option, didn't look any further. Sorry about that, folks. |

0x8004022f or 0x80004005 errors adding fusion 3 gold
I have a fusionhdtv 3 gold card, too. The first time I installed sage, I got the 0x80004005 error, when trying to add the fusionhdtv wdm video capture device, and it told me to reinstall Sage. I did that, and now I'm getting -4,0x80040022f and it says there's a problem rendering the video portion of the content for playback. The fusion software itself works just fine, and windows xp MCE works with the card, too. I've disabled the three MCE services, so they've let go of the capture cards. I've tried all the different mpeg codecs that sage offers to use, and they all give the same error.
FYI, I'm running SageTV 4 on Windows XP MCE, with a WinTV PVR-250 and a FusionHDTV3 Gold. The dvico drivers are version 3.11, which I believe is the latest and greatest. The PVR-250 is working perfectly, btw, no matter what video and/or audio codecs I use. DVD playback is also working without a hitch. I don't have any .ts files to try playing back. |

I cant get that card working with Sage either. when setting up video source and try digital tv tuner I get waiting for preview message. and it just keep waiting and waiting and no video ever cames to it. When I select two options down TV Tuner I get a preview window but then voice never goes away as it is setup to CD audio and unless I manualy go to sound settings and manualy would mute it... strange but I dont know what else to do.

I am using a Fusion3 with Sage 4. I believe that when it attempted to do a Preview it initially failed, so I went back a few steps and continued without doing the (HDTV Tuner) preview. When I set up clients off this server I bypassed the preview test altogether.
The setup works perfectly; video and multichannel audio as well. |

No, it works on the server and the client. I was stating that while I could not get the preview screen to appear in the setup process the system functions normally even if this step is bypassed.
