				PVR350 w/ TV-out

Alright, so I may be doing something really wrong/stupid here, but I'm having some difficulty with using the 350 as a TV-out. I managed to get it to display only video, but when I enabled UI to be displayed on the 350, nothing happens - except that Sage does not run in fullscreen mode on my main monitor. So, first question: Is there something I need to do on so the UI displays on the 350 tv-out as well?

Second question; When video is playing back, I notice display (UI) corruption happening on my main monitor. Once it's stopped/paused, the corruption immediately disappears. Is this a known issue? (I can't find it anywhere here) I've got the most updated drivers for everything on this machine. BTW, I have a Radeon 9800 Pro as my video card. Thanks! |

Put your codecs to default, and disable the software encoding completely. Basically make sure that all settings are on "default", and give it a try.

Glad it worked! Now just hope that you dont have the dreaded 'EOF' issue that plagues everybody!

I decided to use my Radeon to do the decoding because of A/V desync. Hardware-only decoding routes sound to the 350, which I simply cannot do a line-in to my sound card. I'm not looking forward to the EOF bug either

I actually experienced the desync when I had software decoding enabled while using the TV out. Also, never had the famed EOF bug till I tried the 3.011 and later betas

Edit: I checked Opus post here: http://forums.freytechnologies.com/f...266#post112266 I tried option number two there - I get it to now lock up for a bit, but hitting the stop button once it does seems to revert it back to the menu after 10 seconds. Give it a try, got nothing to loose ![]() Oh and for audio mixing - I have the line out of the sound card converted to RCA and used a splitter in reverse to mix the RCAs of the 350 and the sound card to a single cable jacked into the TV/Receiver Last edited by alijiwani; 10-30-2005 at 01:11 PM. |
