Sleep vs. heat and noise

-Sleep
I think with all this going on it's probably best to keep the server on all the time, but it's in my office, its fans are noisy and the AMD cranks out some heat. Any ideas on making this machine quieter and cooler. External venting? It has a case fan and a CPU fan. I think the CPU fan is making most of the noise.

Look at the SilenX fans to replace the ones you have (www.silenx.com). Your power supply has a built in fan - you can replace the power supply with a SilenX one also. I also have a Koolance case, with liquid cooling for my cpu and hard drives.

If the CPU fan is the biggest culprit try THIS fan. SUPER quiet and SUPER cool. But also use Artic Silver 5...
My p4 3.0 went from 47C idle 59C Full load to 23C Idle and 36C full load. And the fan is whisper quiet.
Just make sure it will fit your case/Motherboard

Thanks. that looks like some serious hardware. I'll check to see it it will fit.
