USBIRT & Pansat 2700A
Does anyone have IR file for controling Pansat 2700A box with Sage using USBIRT? I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
Chris

I've attached my file that is working for the Pansat 2500A.
It may or may not work on the 2700A. If not you can build your own. I built my with a helper app from the USB-UIRT. The following has been copied and tweaked from sombody else. In any case, if you want to make your own .IR file, it's easy: 1. Create an 'xxxx.IR' file in NotePad. 2. Start with the following template: IRDeviceName 37616 411 3 600 1000 RepeatCount 10 1 0000... 2 0000... 3 0000... 4 0000... 5 0000... 6 0000... 7 0000... 8 0000... 9 0000... 0 0000... Enter 0000... Guide 0000... Exit 0000... 3. Replace 'IRDeviceName' with your Device Name (no spaces!) The filename should be the same 'IRDeviceName.ir' 4. The 37616 is 5. The 411 is 6. the 3 is the number of digits needed 7. the 600 is the delay between codes 8. the 1000 is the delay between channel changes 9. Repeat Count is how long a digit is sent 10. Replace each '0000...' with the PRONTO (Learned format -- always starts with 0000 xxxx...') for the particular button. Pronto codes can be found at RemoteCentral.com. Remember to have NO <returns> in the middle of the code! 11. Adjust the 'RepeatCount' number as needed. Starting with a high value such as 10 will likely work, but if your SAT receiver sees too many keypresses or the IR transmission takes too long you can reduce this value. 12. Save and close the file. ___________________________ This is what the first line in the IR file normally looks like for the Morotola boxes: MotorolaDCT2000 37616 411 3 600 1000 If you wanted it to send Enter after each channel change, you'd change it to: MotorolaDCT2000 37616 411 3 600 1000 Enter The code Enter must also have been taught, and be defined in the IR file (except for the Motorola boxes, I already have the codes in there for Exit/Enter and some others). This is where it gets a little tricky since you can't teach the Enter code directly in SageTV....but with a little bit of thought one can figure out how to teach it new codes (you just rename them in the IR file). |
