Adding an HDTV card?
I've just about got Sage 3 beta working, from scratch using an PVR-350.
I'd originally intended to build a MythTV box, after reading a lot of Linux users recommend the PVR-350 and how easy it was to configure.<cough>BS</cough> So apart from the random reboots on startup, its pretty much working fine, but being able to watch just one channel is limiting. What I'm wondering is, if I buy a cheapish HDTV card (I was thinking a LeadTek DTV 1000), just for the free-to-air channels in Australia, do I need one with hardware encoding, or does the fact that its broadcast in digital negate that? And do the system requirements for HDTV vary? I was thinking of adding a second 200 Gb SATA drive to the system, would that be adequate? Any advice appreciated, -Jon |

This below is the list of supported cards. I don't believe you guys have ATSC broadcasts in Australia. The Leadtek DTV 1000 is a DVB-T card if I am reading correctly.
* ATI HDTV Wonder * AVerMedia AVerTVHD MCE A180 * Conexant CX23883 ATSC * Philips x237 PCI 7133 ATSC * VBox DTA-151 ATSC * VBox USB-A 3560
