PVR 250 Problem

Hi,

I used sage TV about a year ago. Had two of the old school PVR 250s (the big heatsink kind).. worked good etc. etc. Moved, lost cable for a while. Now I am trying to hook it up again, and having all kinds of problems getting them to both work at the same time. Seems I can get either 1 tuner card and my video card to work, or 2 tuners.. but not both at the same time.

Same PC as I had this working on before (p3 1.0 ghz 512 ram), only different is I am using winxp instead of win2k.

Should I go back to win2k... I don't see why this would matter though.

Been twinking with drivers, bios... everything is up to date.

I had lots of problems trying to get the old PVR-250 to work with my system. I haven't tried any of the latest drivers, but found that at the time (6 months ago?) I couldn't use the latest drivers. I had to back out until I found a version that would work with the old PVR-250 and the PVR-500 in the same machine I had.

Since then I got another PVR-500 and moved the PVR-250 to another machine so I'm not playing that game any more.

Are you sure they're both the same model? I find it odd that you can't get 2 of the same model working.

Are you saying you can't get Sage to see both tuners, or one or the other just works "hinky"? My problem wasn't getting Sage to see all the tuners, it was getting horrible video out of the 250 or 500's depending on what driver I had in there.

Sage isn't the problems.. windows itself won't recognize them through some kind of IRQ problem

Try moving around the cards in the PCI slots- get Windows first and then the default WinTV software to see the two tuners. I think you have an installation problem- dont think it has anything to do with sage.

Try installing one card at a time as well- (use the HWclear...or some similar file to remove all drivers....and reinstall the drivers one card at a time).
