Difference between Hauppauge cards?
I was viewing this page over at the Hauppauge site:
http://www.hauppauge.com/pages/compare_pvr.html And it doesn't give much information. I know the 500 has Dual Tuners I know the 350 has Video Out. But what's the difference between the 150 and 250? I have a 150 MCE right now and am thinking about adding a second card if I can find one for cheap. Was going to just get another 150 or 150MCE and use that but don't know what the difference is with the 250. Can anyone help? |

Not much but the 250 is older design/hardware. Also runs a little hotter. Unless you need closed captions stick with the 150.

I hate when companies have F'd up numbering schemes for their products. Higher the number should mean the newer (and better) the product.

yup, the 150 even has a better A/D converter, i think it went from 8-bit to 9-bit when doing the calculations

Actually I think it's 9-bit (Phillips) to 10-bit (Connexant).

So I take it then that the 500 doens't support CC since it's basically two 150s, right? From what gplasky said, it looks like the 150 doesn't do CC support.
