Just Installed PVR-USB2, SageTV doesnt see it?

I currently have a PVR-150 up and running, and SageTV is working great. I just plugged in the PVR-USB2 device, and installed the drivers from the CDROM that came with it.

I started fresh copy of sage after rebooting the PC...and went into setup. I thought SageTV setup would show the new card but it doesnt? What I am doing wrong...I thought I read here on forums, that Setup would just see the new device and I could configure it, like I did when I first installed the PVR-150

hmmmmm I must be missing a step or two.

PS I looked in SageTV manual but didnt really see anything so far, that would tell me this.

It has been a long time since I installed my PVR-USB2 devices, but I didn't have any problems... a few things to look at:

• make sure no other software is trying to use it (is the Hauppauge software running?)
• make sure it is doesn't have any errors in Windows' System Properties -> Device Manager
• try exiting SageTV (and the service, if that is in use), unplug the USB2 (power & USB2 cable), plug in its power, then plug in the USB2 cable, then restart SageTV if no errors have shown up.
• make sure the PVR-USB2 hasn't appeared on the mmc/ignore_encoders line in sage.properties.

If none of those apply, maybe someone who has a 150 can comment? (I have a 250 installed w/mine)

Actually it is working now. I made a small mistake i think. I forgot when I restarted the PC, it also restarted Sagetv. After I restarted SageTV again it saw the card. Then I was able to set it up. And then I went into Channel setup and tried to get all that straight.

Only problem now, is that its not changing channels on the DISH 811 receiver....hmmm will have to try to figure that out next.

If I use my MX 500 to change the channels, I can see the channels show up in the SageTV GUI. And it records whatever I am watching from the satellite. But it just wont change channels. So I need to find a good FAQ on how to troubleshoot this problem.
