Digital Cable and Sage

Sorry if this is simple, but I looked around and did not see much and I do not spend much time playing with he system so I may not know all the options. I just like to use it.

I currently have SageTV working with analog cable. Works great as the WinTV PR350 that I have understands the analog signals and switches the channels.

Time Warner is my cable company and we are moving to a new house. I would like to go with the digial cable option once I move. I believe that this will require a decoder box from TW to get the signals.

How do I get my Sage box to be able to control the channel selection and record the video?

Thanks Scott

Depending on what type of box it is, you would most likely connect it to your capture card with an svideo cable and then control it via an IR blaster, such as the USB-UIRT. If you know the details of what box it is, others might be able to offer more suggestions -- perhaps serial or firewire connections are available & usable via plugins.
