Sage Stops Scheduling Recordings

Greetings all,

I have never posted here before and I found patches/workarounds to both of these problems in these forums.

I have had the same problems occur in multiple versions of the software.

Sage will stop scheduling things to record. To resolve this I delete and re-recreate the recording devices.

After initial install sage will not schedule programs after initial install. To solve this I reduced the schedualing_lookahead to 259200000 in the program files\frey technologies\sage.properties

Stopping recording is happening frequently and I am getting tired of re entering the channel lists for the tuners. Does anyone out there have any ideas on a more better solution to Sage stops scheduling recordings issue I am having?

YOu reduced the lookahead to 259200000, what was it before? 259200000 is the default, and any more than that is not supported by Sage, even though it works for some people. Does it run fine at 259200000, or are you still having problems.

On my system with ~300 favorites, I actually reduced lookahead to 172800000, 2 days, because Sage wasn' stable with the normal 3 day lookahead. With the 2 day lookahead, Sage will schedule programs for me just fine, with just an occasional delayed scheduling lockup. And if it does lockup, then just restarting Sage cures it.
