My sig lines have links to some info for the Hauppauge remote. By default, SageTV does not add changes to irremote.ini (in your Windows dir) that will affect how other programs operate.

See post #3 in Hauppauge link #1 in my sig lines -- I have not updated any of those downloads to add the lines to be able to put SageTV to sleep/wake it with the Hauppauge remote for v3, but you can edit irremote.ini and add the 2 changes listed near the top of that post. That will keep the same layout as what is described for that remote in the v3 manual.

If you want to be able to control SageTV w/o it ever needing to be in focus, check out post #15 of link 3 of my sig lines.

(Yeah, I know... one of these days I ought to consolidate all those files into 1 place...)

Thank you Opus4 for responing so fast.
I change the send file and the irremote.ini but i still had problems with focus?
The only thing i use this computer is for Sage, so i dont have a monitor, keyboard or mouse plug in to it. any changes i need to do to it i use remote desktop.
I keep the session going when im done with my changes, I just disconnet.
So when i disconect i lose focus and the remote stops working.

Please help
Thank you,
-deja

I think you'll want the 'New Remote' version in this post, since it sends event codes to SageTV instead of keystroke & functions regardless of whether SageTV has focus. There is a readme file in the zip with more info, btw.

Don't forget to restart ir.exe after changing/repalcing irremote.ini and save a copy of the ini file in case it gets changed when you upgrade SageTV or the Hauppauge software.

Then, check this post in that same thread that might help set it up so SageTV is all the remote is controlling.
