Brightness issues when recording....

I've noticed that when I record certain shows (mostly animations like Family Guy) that when a scene is bright it is overly bright and the picture gets saturated. Also when the show goes to a darker scene there is a noticeable shift in the brightness of the picture.

Now by playing with the video proc-amp settings I can reduce the problem to an acceptable level. However doing so adversely effects other shows because I have to take the brightness way down (like to 105). I've tried multiple filters and they all have the same problem. Also the problem is not nearly as bad in WinTV as it is in SageTV.

So I was wondering, if there is no quick fix for this problem, is there any way to setup like settings profiles?? So that for some shows I could just use one set of settings but other shows SageTV could use another.
