Anything changed in the last year?

Over a year ago I built my first HTPC and due to the display issues with the 350 and Sage not supporting the Xcard I chose another piece of software that gave me a first class SD picture via the Xcard.

I am building a new HTPC and want to reconsider SageTV because I really liked it way back then. I only have SD and s-video is the best I can do. New graphics card will be an ATI X1800XL and I still have the 350 and an Xcard. Has anything changed with respect to the numerous issues people were having trying to output via the 350? Does Sage now support the Xcard? I have seen some comments about a plugin but have no idea whether this is a commercial product or whether it works very well.

There's a plugin for the X-Card (it's not made by Sage, but user-supported), not sure how well it works, as I don't have one :P.

Also some people are having better luck with the newer versions of Sage and their 350's, again, I don' t have one, so I can't tell you from experience...
