disable auto-enabling of channels added to lineup
I have a beef with the feature that automatically adds channels that show up in the EPG as "enabled".
In particular, my problem is that Comcast is futzing around with the digital versions of the locals. As such, one of my locals shows up, my cable box can't tune it, and it starts to record favorites on that untunable channel. Result: missed favorites. I would prefer that, if possible, SageTV notifies me of channel lineup additions and lets me decide what to do about it. If that's not possible, I'd at least say that we need the option to turn off the auto-enabling of the new channels. Does that option exist already?

Unless I'm forgetting something, you can't disable that currently... and as far as I know, it will be looked into in the future. (Essentially, it is a known issue.)

I would like to see this disable channel update feature as well.
However since I have a channel logo for every channel, the auto update allows me to see when my Satellite provider has added channels (because they show up on the guide with no logos). Unfortunately these channels 99.9% of the time have no interest to me. Quote:
