Disk space problem?
Okay, another problem that im having w/ sagetv. I have most of my shows set to keep a maximum of 15, since that's the most i can keep. Now when my harddisks are full whenever it starts recording something it gives me red at the beginning 5-10 minutes and ending 5-10 minutes on the scroll bar. I have some of my shows to delete automatically. Is it because Sage isn't deleting them in time? When i deleted a bunch of stuff it seems to be working fine. Kind wierd.

The red just means you are getting low on space... It should delete things when it NEEDS to. Just because it's low doesn't mean it's out of space at that moment.

Yea but when it doesn't record in that red section what does that mean? Because when i try to go back to it, nothing was recorded.

If you can reproduce this when the recording dirs are full vs. when they are not full, then SageTV would probably be interested in hearing about it. Is this v2 or v3? Are the recording dirs set up as network paths? If so, perhaps there is something that is preventing things from working in a timely fashion over the network. - Andy

Alright im using v2 and it is is the time bar at the bottom. It seemed to only happen when there was 0.0gb left to use. The sagetv-server is on a p3 and is connected through a hub to my p4. It's worked fine ever since i deleted.

Does SageTV use a network path to the recording dirs? If so, what happens if you try to go to that path location & delete a file? What about manuallly deleting such a recording from within SageTV? Does either method take a while?
I'm not certain why SageTV (or anything else) would take that much time to delete a file, though. Anyone else know? - Andy

could be a connection time out... sometimes drive mappings will time out and while they aren't disconnected they will take a few seconds to re-establish the connection... But I can't see that taking minutes to happen unless the other machines is getting slammed or something.
